This position will see you sourcing new business opportunities in the financial sector across Canterbury.

The role will be dynamic, you will be out and about daily meeting and giving advice on smart home loan structures and insurance protection to Canterbury locals helping put them in control of their financial situation. This position consists of being on the road or on the phone most days connecting with your existing networks to build new business opportunities for yourself and your business. You will need to have or be willing to complete your Certificate in Financial Services – Level 5 to be able to give advice in this position but the business will help you to be successful in this! The financial literacy can be taught to you, but you need to be a natural sales or relationship builder to be successful in this role!

Skills and experience

Previous experience in sales positions in a business to business or business to consumer solutions-based environment is a must on this occasion

Sales savvy and a good knowledge of how to build rapport quickly with clients to be able to offer appropriate advice, solutions, and ongoing coaching

Drive and hunger to seek new leads and follow through with business development opportunities

Strong knowledge of sales and account management processes and strategies

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present, negotiate and influence

Outstanding time management skills, methodical and organised

The ability to work autonomously and keep yourself focused on achieving your goals

The role

You will be responsible for building new business opportunities for you and your team

Develop and maintain outstanding customer relationships for future business growth opportunities within your key contacts

Monday to Friday business hours except for meetings with clients from time to time falling outside of this scope
