About the Company

You will be working for a high performing business who provide a range of utilities and telecommunications services across different channels to New Zealanders. They are looking to grow in the SME space, so your role will be integral to this. They have a supportive and dynamic office culture and have a mixed-model of Work From Home, and hot-desking in the office.

About the Role

You will be part of the Small Business Sales team, and will be responsible for generating leads, building a pipeline and converting sales for SME customers. The purpose of your role is to drive growth in this market.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for

Researching and understanding potential business leads and their needs.

Developing, implementing and executing sales & marketing strategies to generate new leads and increase sales.

Building and maintaining a sales pipeline and working to targets.

Maintaining long-term relationships with stakeholders over the phone, and upselling/cross-selling.

Preparing quotes and proposals for customers.

Analysing consumer patterns & preferences to tailor your approach to customers.

About You

We are looking for experience in a Sales role where you have had to both build your own pipeline and generate your own leads (this is a must!). This role would be suited to a Junior BDM or someone who has come from a similar role in B2B sales.

We are also looking forSomeone who is motivated by commercial success, meeting targets and earning commission.

Resilience and perseverance in a sales context.

Emotional intelligence, nous and the ability to deal with ambiguity.

Superb organisation & planning skills, and attention to detail.

Technical aptitude and the ability to relay technical information to business customers.

Confidence on the phone and exceptional customer service skills.
