About the organisation
Our client is a complex, multi-faceted organisation responsible for regional transport services for the wider Auckland area. This includes all transport projects and services including roads, footpaths, cycling, parking and public transport.
A critical part of their remit is to provide a safe environment for everyone using these services, whether it’s operators or the general public. The vision is to dramatically decrease incidents related to transport that cause injuries, hence wanting to build out a team to put this vision into practice.
About the role
This role would see you working with a number of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that safety related initiatives, projects, systems and processes are rolled out to support and aid the vision of zero harm in and around the work place and construction/project sites. You will review incident and injury reports and developing solutions to mitigate future harm. Case management of injuries/RTW program development will see you working closely with ACC. Your experience in being involved in workplace/site audits will aid you in being able to successfully assist in the collection of necessary documentation for audits.
You will
Have worked in the construction space in a role that saw you working to drive H&S across the sites
Have proven knowledge of the New Zealand Health & Safety legislation/best practice
Have knowledge in AS/NZS 4801 or other relevant standards
Demonstrated the ability to coach and develop stakeholders
A working knowledge of the ACC Workplace Safety Management Practice (WSMP) standards
Be an enthusiastic collaborator who has had experience in report writing
