About the Role
This role will ensure the adoption of best practice across employee wellbeing, environmental and workplace safety functions, while developing a well-structured risk management framework.
You will develop and implement solutions-based systems for all health, safety and environmental risk. You will help build the fence at the top of the cliff versus the ambulance at the bottom, through
Development of an achievable risk management framework
Making safety part of the ‘everyday’ mandate, while still ensuring leaders are responsible for implementation across the business
Identifying of hazards management and systematic implementation of controls to reduce risk
Record management, audit and follow up practices
Pre-emptive and forward-thinking contractor management
Engaging and upskilling Leaders through new safety initiatives
In short, you will oversight, build knowledge, and lift capability when it comes to everything health, safety and business risk – be it the people, the plant or the environment.
About YouYou care – genuinely care about people, their wellbeing and their safety in the workplace.
Technically, you have sound experience across the Health, Safety and Environmental space – hazards, investigations, contractor management etc. This is supported with associated qualifications and, ideally, you will have created successful risk frameworks and systems from scratch. Your knowledge of ACC audit practices and regulatory obligations is a must. Training and exposure to employee engagement strategies would certainly be appealing.
You will have an operational head and have a knack for innovate ideas while considering business impact. Influence is your middle name, and your references will speak highly of the credibility you build and all levels.
