The Role

We have several newly created positions for an experienced and driven QS to join an expanding division of the business and train to become a successful Manufacturing Detailer. You will go through a well-designed onboarding and a two stage, hands on training programme, that will provide you the tools for a very successful career as a Detailer. The role will allow you to build strong working relationships and have interactions with builders, internal and external customer as well as the wider business. The role requires the ability to think 3-dimensionally and be able to read plans.

Responsibilities include

Interpretation of architectural plans to produce detailed frame and truss drawings using MiTek software.

Ensure truss and frame detailing is accurate and delivery in a timely manner and within customers expectations.

Ensure production schedules are communicated, all issues resolved and any delays reported to appropriate parties.

Provide expert advise to customer and build positive working relationships.

Work with Managers to develop and implement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.

Ensure safe working environment.

Support project work and contribute to business outcomes.Business information and reporting at delivered on time.

The building blocks to be successful

QS experience – ideally 5+ years.

Experience using MiTek, Pryda or similar software is advantageous.

Understanding of building design.

Understanding of building design.

Able to interpret architectural plans.

Previous experience within industries such as Building & Construction, Steel Fabrication, Roof or Window Manufacturing is highly desired.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Systems/Tech Savvy.

Able to work autonomously with strong work ethics.
