The company
This is a rare, permanent opportunity for a Practice Leader - Foster Care Worker. My client is charitable trust, who work with children and youth across NZ. This role is responsible for team and caregiver training and contributes to the on-going clinical development of the service.
Duties include
Recruitment and training of staff and caregivers
Supervision and provision of line management
Responsible for efficient service management as well as the treatment model integrity and effectiveness of service
Office based with local and regional travel required to visit young people who are in care or are transitioning out of care
Participate in rostered 24 hour on-call crisis intervention
Ensure that all young people in the programme receive a high standard of care
Ensure that assessment treatment plans, self-regulation plans and risk management plans are undertaken as required
Be the primary point of contact for caregivers and provide feedback on areas of achievements and areas requiring improvement
Oversee and coordinate the integration of interventions by caregivers, care coordinators, and external providers
To be considered for this role
You must be a registered health professional (Social Worker, Physchologist or Occupational Therapist) under the Health Practitioners Competency ActFull driver’s license
Minimum three years’ or more experience in relevant field
A Bachelors degree in relevant field
Experience working with a range of cultures
Experience in clinical report writing
Experience in clinical report writing
