Hutchinsons was established in Auckland in 1906 and is one of the original merchants of branded consumer foods in the NZ retail market. Today Hutchinsons are brand custodians and import and distribute a diverse range of brands like Castello, The Laughing Cow, Trident, OXO, Vegemite and Wheelies. Along with these partners they have their own brand – Hutchinsons Cheese. They have been in significant growth over the past few years and are always looking to bring on new brands to expand their diverse portfolio.
About the Role
The National Field Sales Manager role is a crucial role for the Hutchinsons business and is responsible for creating and executing the field strategy in the grocery space. With 8 Territory Managers reporting through you will be responsible for providing high level coaching and development to further grow sales across New Zealand. You will imbed best practice planning and execution across the sales division and be the bridge between the head office Key Account Managers and the field team. Another key responsibility is the ability to revaluate and reformulate the field strategy, making improvements in efficiency and performance.
You will currently be a Field or Regional Sales Manager within the FMCG grocery space. You may have a smaller team in a geographical region and be looking for a step up into a role with national scope and responsibility. Hutchinsons have a complex portfolio spread across many categories and you will have an intimate understanding of the FMCG grocery landscape and the current changes within the Foodstuffs group. You will be hungry, driven and an exceptional people leader. Above all else you will be able to inspire a team to perform at a high level and have clear examples of doing so.
