About the role

As a Diesel Fitter you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repairs are completed in a safe manner. This role is based in Devonport, Auckland.

About You

The successful candidate will align with Diesel Trade Qualified Technicians that have a background and experience within the asset maintenance and repair of Ground Support Equipment or Heavy Equipment environment – a bonus would be if this was within an airline industry.

You will be a confident communicator and team player

Have the ability to prioritise, plan and organise your workload with a strong attention to detail

A Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination licence would be highly regarded.

Heavy diesel mechanic qualification

You will need to be able to obtain an airside driver permit

You must have clear criminal background

Enjoy working with new technology to manage work orders and tasks

Responsibilities will includePractice and promote Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance during all operations

Participate in the development and maintenance of a culture

Ensure all maintenance and repair work performed meets the original equipment manufacturer’s recommendations in line with local legislation

Perform and continually improve our maintenance and repair tasks and strategies

Update our real time electronic work ordering system using an iPad in all areas

Work as part of a team and communicate effectively

Prioritise and time management is a must for this role
