About the Company

Our client is a well established and respected financial services business in NZ who pride themselves on being customer focused, transparent and flexible. For the last 20 years they have been providing lending services (personal and business loans) and term deposit facilities that help kiwis and small businesses achieve their goals. They have experienced significant growth the last 3 years and now looking for a Head of Marketing to join at this exciting time. This is a real opportunity to set, drive and execute the marketing strategy and make this role your own.

About the Role

This newly created role will report directly to the CEO and some of the key areas of focus will be

Marketing Strategy

Developing the NZ Marketing Strategy for all three divisions of the business (personal loans, small business loans and term deposit investments).

This includes the digital marketing, all marketing and brand collateral in both digital and hard copy formats, the broker distribution, the physical branches.

Product Development

Working with management and sales teams to align the current products with the market, and the marketing strategy.

Devising marketing and sales strategy around these products.

Customer Experience and Customer Retention

Developing a customer experience strategy.

Budget Management & Reporting

Full ownership and responsibility of the marketing budgetReporting results and ROI to the leadership team

About You

This is a greenfield role in a well established business. It is a real opportunity to set, drive and execute the marketing strategy so we are looking for a well rounded, savvy Marketing Manager who has worked in Financial Services and ideally set up a function like this before.

You will have full ownership and responsibility for the NZ marketing strategy so will feel confident with stakeholder management at the executive level and just as easily roll up your sleeves to help get the job done.

The industry is rapidly changing with a move to more digital and fintech platforms: You will therefore have significant experience in digital marketing and branding and ideally have previously worked alongside a sales team to develop distribution channels for a business.

Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing is essential.

Our client is regulated by the RBNZ so an understanding of how this impacts the customer and therefor the marketing will be favourable.
