About the Role

Reporting into the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team this senior Marketing Manager position has two direct reports (graphic designer and digital marketing coordinator looking after online) to help fulfil the marketing function requirements. This is both a strategic and hands on role – the marketing person in this role is the sole marketer required to implement the marketing initiatives end to end.

This newly created role is tasked to deliver on the company strategy in the retail and finance sectors owning the marketing plan from strategy to implementation. Very exciting given the recent re-branding and strategic direction for the business!

This is a B2C marketing role planned to be in TTL channels. Starting with weekly segmented eDMs and catalogues there will be a focus on digitally led marketing, including significant growth plans in the eCommerce channel. Marketing will also include social media, Website updates,, DM and media relations.

This role will require setting up a CRM system to ensure marketing is data-led, driving awareness, engagement and retention campaigns across the customer lifecycle and within a variety of customer segments.

Plus, you work closely with the CEO, National Sales Manager, Sales team. Merchandise and Credit teams to drive both the business and marketing goals.

Mentoring a junior team and working with key stakeholders within the business, this role works closely with external agencies to help deliver marketing campaigns which is high pace with a delivery focus.

Both a strategic and on the tool’s role a thorough and future focused ability to own and deliver on CLC, CX, digital (website, Martech/automation, email etc), DMs, collateral and other relevant B2C comms with engaging and relevant content is required to acquire and retain customers ultimately driving sales and revenue.

About You

You will have 10+ years marketing experience in the services sector.

As this is a senior B2C marketing role our client requires someone with the ability to see big picture delivering the company strategy through integrated brand and retail marketing plan and relevant/engaging customer comms. You will therefore have the solid business acumen to understand marketing and sales objectives and the skills to develop plans and strategies to achieve these. At the same time you will also need to be very comfortable rolling your sleeves up and implementing the marketing campaigns end to end.

You will have experience turning marketing strategy into integrated retail marketing plans ensuring customers is at the heart of all comms. So, you will be familiar with segmentation strategies and comms.You will be able to make decisions and work autonomously when required as well.

You will be comfortable rolling out the new marketing requirements as the business evolves. Therefore you will have proven eCommerce experience in retail channels plus further strong digitally led marketing experience across Social Media, eDMs, Website. Also catalogues, DM and media relations experience.

You will be future focused with the ability to test, learn and optimise as you track the numbers of your marketing initiatives. This role requires an analytical person who is comfortable working with data, numbers and research in order to develop, implement and optimise insight led marketing strategies and programmes.

Retail experience is required, financial services isn’t mandatory, but this role does involve the regulatory aspect as you’d expect. Fantastic attention to detail and delivering marketing initiatives on time and on budget while rolling your sleeves up.

You will be collaborative, future focussed, proactive person who is comfortable managing a team and working with a diverse group of stakeholders driving key marketing initiatives within the business alongside inspiring your team to ensure best in class insight led brand and marketing communications.
