Manager – Professional Services
Hello! My name is Mallory. I am writing this ad as one of my last jobs at Madison – to replace myself!
I have been at Madison for 10 years, and after working in four teams with eight different job titles I am moving into a group Marketing role, full time for our parent company, Accordant.
My role is working as Manager of our Professional Services Team. What does the ‘Profs Team’ do? Recruit in specialist channels, typically in mid-senior level roles. We have five channels now – but there is scope to grow this financial year. In fact, one of your key responsibilities will be growing your team.
Day to day responsibilities
Manage, coach, train & develop a team of specialist recruiters (all experienced)
Develop & implement team (and branch/ company) strategic plans
Sales – client relationship management (of key accounts) and grow/ seek new business for team or wider Madison business
Be a ‘go to’ person for general how-to questions and be a systems expert. Basically, in time becoming the walking Wikipedia for all things Madison
Attend client visits, recruit for your team, attend sales meetings, work with internal teams to better systems and processes
Jump on the tools at any point – or grow a desk yourself – as required (this will depend on your unique skill set that you bring to the role)
Start Date: Yesterday – but we will wait for you (the ideal candidate)
Days/ Hours: I have always worked Monday – Friday between 8am – 5pm but you will be afforded flexibility and some WFH options (majority of the week spent in the office).
About Madison & Our Culture: Potential Madisonites always want to know what I love about working here during their interview, and the answer is simple – the people. The people are what attracted me to the company 10 years ago, and they are who keep me here today.
Not only because they are fun to be around, but because they are a group of creative, driven, and hardworking individuals who come to work every day to push the limits of what we can do as a business and as a group to be market leaders in the employment industry. There is also the opportunity you will have to grow as a person and in your career. I am certainly an example of that!
About You: I want to pass my team on to someone who is a leader in their role and can contribute positively to our high performing culture. You might be ready for a step up into a leadership role (from a Senior or Principal Consultant position), or perhaps you have been a recruitment leader for a while and want to take a step with a new and exciting company that supports you to try new things and shake things up.
This role will be scoped to the level of leader you are and help you grow and develop your management potential (another thing I love about Madison).
Here are the non-negotiable requirements to be considered
Agency recruitment experience
Agency recruitment experience
Sales experience in recruitment environment
Ideally you have previously managed a team, or have mentored/ trained new staff
Experience writing proposals (PSAs, RFPs, RFIs, etc.)
Experience presenting to clients or in large team environments
