An opportunity has arisen for you to join the business in a pivotal leadership role as the Logistics Operations Manager based in Christchurch.
Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient and effective operations for ocean, airfreight and all landside transport.
Reporting to the Group Logistics Manager, you will take on a key role where you will be responsible for
Managing operational and contractual relationships with transport operators and commercial cold stores
Implementation and measurement of processes and metrics across the internal cold chain (with a particular emphasis on inventory control)
Supporting the Logistics Manager and wider supply chain team in delivering exceptional service throughout the national and international supply chain

You will own the management of key relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers such as transport operators, ocean freight partners, industry bodies and cold store providers.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing key internal relationships with direct reports, regional managers, other Silver Fern sites and the central support functions
Your previous knowledge and experience in leading logistics operations and people leadership in an agri-business, primary industry or similar environment will ensure you deliver continuous and sustainable results to the business.
