Our client is an award-winning fabrication and production parts manufacturing business, recognised as a leading supplier to the dairy, food, pharmaceutical and aquaculture industries. Our client is seeking a Laser Team Leader to work on their Afternoon/Night Shift (3pm-11:30pm typically) for their Hamilton based manufacturing plant.
About the role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will assist in the supervision of the Laser Team to ensure that all work is performed to the highest standard and meets quality standards and customer expectations.
Your ability to build relationships will be your strength, as will your exceptional multi-tasking skills and engineering flare. You have a cool head, a clear concise communication style and have mastered the art of problem solving – both people and process!
To be successful in this role, you will have:
proven strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor your team across job stage planning, technical development and compliance with accepted standards and health and safety regulations
excellent problem solving skills
the ability to multi-task
the skills to actively support Lean principles to promote continuous improvement, productivity, efficiency and superior production practices
laser experience and a forklift licence would be an advantage
