Job Description:

Based in Lynfield our client is a large commercial laboratory who provide services within food safety and biosecurity, to the food and primary production sectors worldwide. Currently they are in a busy period and require temporary cover for a busy seasonal period in some of laboratory teams.

These roles will be flexible hours and it is expected you would work in weekends and a later shift from 12.00pm until 8.30pm. You will be expected to handle general microbiology samples which include meat and food products. It is envisaged you will work around 20hours a week. You may be a student currently studying science who wishes to gain some hands-on experience or someone returning to the workforce.

To be considered we require the following

Good knowledge of Science (Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology or similar)

Be able to work well within a team and be adaptable

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Be available to work weekends and be flexible with working hours

Strong attention to detail

Be available to start immediately

Good time management and organizational skills

Experience working in a fast-paced environment would be advantageous

It is likely these temp assignments will be for approximately 2 months to cover a peak period of work.
