A New Zealand owned and operated FMCG business based in the Hawkes Bay that is continuing to grow at pace! The business has strong backing and has established themselves a reputation for supplying local and international markets with quality products. The culture is that of a small business where the team all love to be challenged, enjoy rolling up their sleeves to get the job done while having a lot of fun along the way. As a result of this growth they are looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to join their close knit team to be an integral part of the business over the coming years.
As their Key Account Manager you will be responsible for helping to further develop their domestic sales channels which are predominately across grocery. The business is currently more export focused though is looking to further develop their domestic market. You will work closely with their agency partner across merchandising, pricing, promotions and NPD while also being hands on with store visits from time to time. The role will also involve managing head office relationships with key stakeholders in Auckland as well as looking to grow and enter into new stores. In time this position will also have the opportunity to take on international accounts where you would work with global retailers to further develop the export business too.

We are looking for someone from a FMCG background who has experience with managing and growing a product range through grocery channels along with being able to manage key head office relationships and agency partners.
You will need to be comfortable working within a small business and prepared to be hands on and up for the challenge each day. This role and the business can be incredibly fast paced with lots of moving targets so you will need to enjoy this type of challenge and be able to adapt quickly.
This role best suits a self starter and a real people person who is motivated by the challenge of growing a product range and sales across the domestic market. There will be some overnight travel required and on top of base salary will be a vehicle and bonus component. You will need to be based in the Hawke’s Bay for this role.
