About the opportunity
Our client is an award-winning fabrication and production parts manufacturing business, recognised as a leading supplier to the dairy, food, pharmaceutical and aquaculture industries. Our client is seeking an Inventory Controller to join their Hamilton based manufacturing plant.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will take on the responsibility of accurately managing the Inventory Control process from external goods receipt to regular cycle counting.
Key duties will include:
Manage the Inventory Control process from the time of receipt of raw material through to the receipt of production finished goods
Daily transfer of completed stock from production to finished goods
Conduct regular scheduled stock takes
Ensure stock variances are investigated and Inventory is adjusted to maintain accuracy
Manage stock returns in a timely manner
Provide support to Warehouse Team in times of absence or high workload.
Key attributes and experience
This is a hands-on role, requiring strong forklift experience and some physical work.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Demonstrated experience in Warehousing/Logistics
Good computer skills
Effective communication at all levels
High level of attention to detail and ability to work through stock variances
Focus on Health and Safety
