About the Company

Our client is a Kiwi owned and operated business at the forefront of their industry and sector. A close-knit, professional team environment has resulted in a fantastic culture with a high performing sales team in the DIY retail space and they are looking for an exceptional Territory Account Manager to continue the trend in the greater Auckland Area.

About the Role

The role is reports directly to the Managing Director and takes care of the central Auckland and Northland territory within the DIY retail space. You will maintain and further develop existing relationships in Bunnings, Mitre 10’s and independent retailers with a focus on gaining ranging and distribution across the portfolio of brands. It is a competitive market, and you will be leading from the front, using data and insights to assist with negotiations at store level. There is also an element of people management, with Merchandisers from a third-party agency reporting directly through to the successful applicant. You’ll be expected to maintain a call cycle and strive to consistently exceed your targets.

About You

You may have existing experience within the DIY retail sector with prior experience in a Territory Manager role. Alternatively, you will be a strong FMCG Territory Manager who is looking to get out of the grocery environment and into a channel with similar requirements. You will have a commercial skill set and be well across presenting to buyers using store data and insights. Personality wise it is important that you are a team player, have resilience, confidence and a strong sense of leadership to manage a group of merchandisers effectively. Above all else you will be an amazing relationship builder, able to form long lasting relationships quickly and genuinely.
