A boutique investment business has grown in both reputation and size over the last few years, although still relatively small, there have realistic plans for significant growth over the next few years.
Covid has taught them that working remotely is OK, so are able to offer a truly flexible working environment which is very much results-focused, many of their team only come into the office once a month.
They are now of the size where they are starting to bring certain functions in-house (including Finance).
Some More Information About The Role
Reporting to the founders and sitting as an integral member of the leadership team the Finance Manager, this broad role responsible all fo the finance and reporting requirements for the business, day to day transactional finance is outsourced and will likely remain that way in the short term.
Main responsibilities include
Monthly Management accounts
Tax
Cash management
Audit
FMA disclosures
Sales and Pipeline reporting
RBNZ reportingInvestment RFPs and RFIs So Who Are You & What is Your Profile?
You are an ambitious CA/CPA qualified accountant, who has a natural ability to solve problems, you do not need to know everything but resourceful and smart enough to wrap your head around complex challenges. Financial services experience is an advantage either directly or whilst working in a CA firm.
As they are small, growing environment you will be happy to roll your sleeves up and get involved in other areas of the business when required.
They really want someone who is ambitious as they are, with the potential to grow into a CFO role or similar in the future.
