About the company

Sitting in the construction space, our client has a large number of sites throughout the country. With a recent shift in focus around Environmental Health and Safety in the workplace, this newly created role based in Tauranga has been established to support one of the 3 newly appointed EHS Business Partners.

This newly created role has been established as our client works to reset the culture and key operational activities to drive safety as a primary focus of the business. If you have an administrative background with a genuine interest in safety being at the forefront of daily activities then this could be a role for you!

In this role you will be supporting one of the Environmental Health and Safety Business Partners both administratively and operationally. You will be primarily based at one of the sites in Tauranga however from time to time may have the opportunity to visit other sites between Hamilton and Wellington. You will work with the EHS BP based in Tauranga as well as the wider EHS team to develop, implement and maintain systems and structures that enable consistent and effective delivery of safety activity nationally.

You will work to provide any requested evidence and documentation for EHS audits/inspections as well as compile information for monthly EHS reports. You will be well organised as you will be responsible for managing business units training needs via the Training Matrix. You will do this by anticipating and addressing training requirements working with the business to ensure training and certifications are maintained. You will be confident in engaging with a large number of internal and external stakeholders as you support the EHS BP to facilitate occasional inductions and Health and Safety training sessions.

Have strong administrative capabilities and good attention to detail

Be genuinely passionate about promoting/driving health and safety in work places

Have confident in building and maintaining relationships

Be confident in the Microsoft Office Suite
