This is a permanent opportunity for the best in Communications! My client is a lead trade and investment promotion agency, who works with export capable businesses promoting their services in NZ. In times like these, you need job security and as my client works with the Pacific Islands, you most certainly will be joining a company who can provide you with this. They're in a strong position, and have plans to grow with no signs of slowing down!

They have an exciting opportunity for a Communication Specialist to join their team based in New Market. In this role, you will lead NZ’s communications and marketing portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity not to be missed! Not only is a competitive salary on offer for the successful candidate, but you will also gain a ton of experience, and you will travel to the Pacific Islands from time to time. If you have previous experience working in a Communications capacity with the Pacific Islands this will certainly be very advantageous, however not essential.

The role, in a nut shell

As Communications Specialist, some of your key areas of responsibility will include

Design and develop communication strategy including digitisation transformation strategy

Produce high quality communication products and campaigns

Design and develop marketing and promotional strategy to improve capabilities and reach

Manage website and social media operations including media releases

Design and manage the quarterly and annual reports

To be successful in this role

Degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field

Minimum 5-10 years previous experience in a similar role, and demonstrated journalism experience

Understanding of the media and communications environment in Pacific Island CountriesExperience in photography, with ability to design and conduct communications and awareness campaigns

Knowledge of design and skills in developing creative and innovative communications products and campaigns would be an advantage

Strategic communications specialist, and public relations advocacy

Writing skills including creative story writing, academic writing

Publication processes, digital media and digital design technology and the production of audio-visual materials

Publication processes, digital media and digital design technology and the production of audio-visual materials

NZ citizen or resident, those without this won't be considered due to this being a permanent opportunity
