Our client develops and manufactures high-quality closed cell foam products, which are used in marine, sports, orthotic and construction, applications They have a reputation of quality, and are a trusted and preferred choice by some of the world’s leading brands.
They are a subsidiary company of a well-known NZX listed business, who have design, manufacturing and distribution facilities and partners throughout the world.
This is an exciting, newly created opportunity to join a smaller team at their facility based in Albany. This dynamic business has achieved significant growth in recent years and there is now the need for a full time, permanent, Assistant Accountant to join the company.
You will be joining a team of passionate and knowledgeable staff, reporting directly into the newly appointed Finance Manager. You will also be working with their new ERP platform, which is cloud based.
This is a transactional role, where you would be responsible for completing the key accounting activities of the business including accounts receivable and payable and assisting with the monthly close and business reporting and analysis.
To be successful in this role, it’s preferred you hold a Tertiary qualification in finance or accounting, however those without this but with demonstrated competence, experience and a passion to learn and succeed will also be considered.
You’ll have a minimum of three years post graduate experience or five years’ experience in an accounting team with responsibility for AP and AR activities. You’ll also have a sound understanding of accounting principles, and strong capability with Excel and Word. Your written and verbal communication skills will be top notch.
