About the Role

This Chief Digital Officer (CDO) sits on the Executive Leadership team of this medium sized New Zealand organisation, and is responsible for digitally enhancing the entire business to improve the overall customer experience. The role will both develop the digital strategy and work collaboratively across the organisation to prioritise and implement a delivery plan that integrates with the priorities of the overall group strategy.

There is complexity because the organisation is made up of a number of operating units, each with their own organisational structures, digital programs, systems, and goals. The CDO role will therefore be a Group role - working with the executive team of each business unit to understand their current digital landscape, identify commercial opportunities and performance gaps, and develop the right digital solutions / technologies to address them. This will involve collaborative buy in across the group and establishment of group-wide measurement of ROI on digital initiatives.

This person will become the “digital champion” for the organisation and reports to the Group CEO.

About You

You could be an established Executive Leadership Team performer currently, or looking for your first ELT level role.

You have extensive experience in digital delivery and innovation and enjoy project delivery.

You know how to influence bring internal stakeholders on the journey to get buy in for transformation.

You have experience in delivering the optimal customer experience to gain competitive advantage.

You have knowledge of developing high data quality processes that support business outcomes.

You can demonstrate adding value strategically and working with cross-functional teams to deliver
